What you will enjoy doing
- Initially, you will work in a busy Engineering department, supporting the Operations team to ensure development, processes and tooling are ready for production, driving a right first-time culture and approach
- Working with diverse coating and support specialists you will apply engineering principles, material selection and application knowledge to develop cost effective designs to enable robust repeatable processes in the factory. You will support the technical ownership of coating processes, maintaining controls and documentation
- Conducting root cause analysis of faults in coatings and preparation processes, including masking, gritting and measurement of parts, will be part of this role
- You will be responsible for Interpreting customer requirements from drawings, specifications and quality documents in order to productionise processes
- Completing gauge studies and improving measurement systems, providing feedback and improvement initiatives to key stakeholders will be in your remit
- You will supporting engineers in trials using coating equipment - plasma, D-gun, HVOF and supporting equipment
- Producing and modifying tooling models and detailed drawings in Solidworks CAD, are all part of the role
What makes you great
- You have a Graduate degree in Engineering discipline, preferably manufacturing, mechanical, aerospace or aeronautical
- Further you are able to understand and interpret technical drawings
- Moreover you have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- You are analytical and have strong problem-solving skills
