About the placement
You don’t watch from the sidelines around here — you get stuck in. Through hands-on experience and responsibility from the get-go, you’ll gain a vast insight into how our business works and contribute to it from day one. What you’ll need
Analytical, detail-focussed, self-starter. That’s you. Bring your strong reporting and analytical skills and we’ll give you the exposure to own your progress. You’re an excellent communicator with an interest in international trade. With experience of working with databases, and proficiency in MS Office applications, you’ll take it in your stride, working in a fast-developing, ever-changing environment. If you’re studying towards a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade or similar fields, then our placement might just be the perfect fit for you.
What you’ll do
Be the person who brings our much-loved products to customers, with excellence, clarity, compliance and an outstanding service. The role will start in invoicing, rate cards and analysis. Moving into all aspects of Inbound operations. From ocean, to air, to road, you’ll explore it all, ensuring goods cross borders smoothly and compliantly. You’ll spend time in both the customs compliance and the customs operations teams building an understanding of the importance of customs and how it fits into the wider business.
From origin to our destination depots, you’ll also delve into tasks with real impact including; planning, operations, haulier cost and service performance, detention, demurrage, storage control and contingencies. Everything you do will play a key role in building trust with millions of customers.
