Client Profile
Reckitt is one of Zenith UK’s largest clients and is a leading producer of health, hygiene and home products. This opportunity is for a Planning Executive to work within the Reckitt Health team at Zenith, with responsibility across a group of best loved & trusted household brands such as Dettol, Nurofen, Durex, Lemsip, Strepsils, Veet, Gaviscon and Optrex.
The brands are all part of a passionate team who know their markets and products inside out - so we behave as an extension to their team, giving them the best media solutions and media market updates available. This is an opportunity for the Planning Executive to help deliver the planning across a number of market leading brands, achieving innovative media solutions and great ideas to our clients.
As a Planning Executive you will actively contribute to client servicing, supporting your team in the areas of strategy development, customer insight, maintenance of plan, and administrative management.
Reporting into the Planning Manager you will become a skilled planner able to translate target audience, the role of comms and detailed knowledge of media channels into robust and innovative media plans to help solve client’s business problems. As a core member of the team, you will work closely with the trading teams across a range of media touchpoints including: TV, Radio, Outdoor, Digital etc. You will assist in managing the planning process from start to finish.
You will develop an in depth understanding of the client’s business along with strong strategic communications planning skills in order to deliver innovative and effective strategies through compelling stories / approaches, and work as part of a larger agency team to deliver those solutions.
You will also have opportunities to lead some projects with the support of the PM and PD, which will give you the autonomy to run certain campaigns (essential experience to becoming a PM after all).
Responsibilities include
- Support the Planning Manager in running the day-to-day account, to deliver effective media plans and to be the main point of contact for certain junior clients and requests
- Proactively delivering competitor and audience analysis and insight which will be presented to clients
- Being a tools champion for the planning team (TGI, Nielsen Ad-Intel, Comscore etc.)
- Staying up to date with any market/category/competitive information that may help inform the team’s planning
- Liaising with and briefing the Zenith specialist teams across both adhoc and regular tasks for the team
- Circulating agendas and material in advance of meetings, preparing contact reports ensuring material is completed by the due date
- Consolidating the Post Campaign Analysis with the support of the manager
- Managing client finance process including monthly reconciliations

- Strong written and oral communication skills in order to be a team player
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a diverse workload
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent client servicing skills, including attention to detail
