Starting in summer 2023, as a Graduate Product Designer (UI/UX Digital Design) you will be part of the Studio Design team at Pulselive. You will have the opportunity to support all Pulselive clients, working on websites and apps that engage millions of sports fans worldwide.
The Role
You will have a very hands-on role creating mockups, designing assets and providing support to senior members as and when required. You will be required to work within a fast paced environment, helping to develop digital products for some of the biggest names in world sport.
During your time with Pulselive, you will rotate around the product design for clients and our internal product’s, working across website and app design. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our Research and Insights team. These rotations will ensure you understand how our team and technology come together to create innovative solutions.
You will learn agile methodologies and partner with the wider business to develop existing products and be part of the team that creates new design solutions for sports fans. As you finish your initial rotations you will then specialise in a specific business discipline for the remainder of your programme.
As a product design graduate you will also get to collaborate with all disciplines across our business, also directly with our clients to learn about our processes and to see how we develop innovative solutions. You can expect to solve design problems and collaborate with the wider team to brainstorm solutions, conduct research and find the best approach.
We are seeking a graduate who is hungry to learn and has a passion to develop as a digital product designer. You will progress your own skills, learning from the wider team and be supported by senior members of the creative team throughout your rotations. Key Responsibilities
- You will learn about prototyping, wireframing, working with design systems and how to create pixel perfect designs that bring the products to life
- Show good attention to detail and take pride in all design work you produce
- Take responsibility for every task you are assigned, ensure you understand the definition of done before submitting work for review
- Time management, ensure all deadlines are met
- Developing own skills throughout the graduate program to maximise your opportunities on every project you are given
- Sharing of ideas across the team, contributing to and learning from the team as a whole
- Support the design leads and squads across Pulselive and client projects
- Support on the creation of marketing & business development material
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Software:
- Figma (or similar software), Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
- Knowledge of other tools, such as After Effects, Principle and 3D software is a bonus
- Zeplin
- A creative flair, demonstrating a good eye for detail
- A degree/qualification in Product design or similar design field
- Problem solving
- Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to new approaches
- Positive and personable individual with a hunger to learn more
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Clear understanding of latest and emerging trends in digital design with a keen interest in what’s next
You will learn:
- Task/ticket management tools such as JIRA
- Setting up complex projects and Design Systems in Figma
- Collaborating with other team members and departments
- Best practices within the product design team
- B2B and B2C product design
Entry Requirements
- You will have a strong academic background such as a Degree in Product Design/Graphic design or a qualification such as a National Diploma within a design field
- You will have some demonstrable UX/UI and or product design experience
- You will have a strong passion and interest in designing digital products
- You will thrive in an innovative and fun environment, where you will work in agile teams, learn from fantastic colleagues and want to share your own knowledge, experience and ideas
- A desire and the ability to innovate, learn and push the boundaries
