    As a Graduate Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to build solutions that engage millions of sports fans worldwide. You will be able to work with a wide range of data sources and providers from video, commentary to live sports data. You will progress your own skills and gain expertise along the way, sharing and learning new technologies and techniques from senior leads the team.     As a Software Development Graduate Engineer at Pulselive, you will be part of a two year scheme that is designed to give you exposure into how Pulselive creates industry leading digital products.

    During your time with Pulselive, you will rotate through multiple different disciplines including, Java Development, Javascript, DevOps, and Site Reliability. These rotations will ensure you understand how our team and technology come together to create innovative solutions.  You will learn agile methodologies and partner with the wider business to develop existing products and be part of the team that creates new digital platforms for sports fans..  As you finish your initial rotations you will then specialise in a specific business discipline for the remainder of your programme.

    As a software engineering graduate you will also get to collaborate with our product team and customers to learn about our requirements and to see how we develop innovative solutions.  You can expect to solve significant problems and collaborate with the wider team to brainstorm solutions, conduct research and find the best approach.

    Knowledge and Expertise

    A Graduate Engineer is expected to be responsible for:

    • Learning and producing code to a high standard that not only functions correctly but can be understood and extended by other members of the team
    • Showing good attention to detail, taking care and pride in what is produced
    • Communicating clearly both technically and creatively, to ensure the best possible solutions are built
    • Learning and communicating progress within a project across the project team
    • Developing own skills to get as many aspects of software development
    • Sharing of ideas and techniques across the development team, contributing to and learning from the team as a whole

    2023 Graduate Scheme Entry Requirements 

    • You will have a strong academic background such as a BSc in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline (ideally with a 2:1 or above)
    • You will have some demonstrable software engineering experience, 
    • You will thrive in an innovative and fun environment, where you will work in agile teams, learn from fantastic colleagues and want to share your own knowledge, experience and ideas
    • A desire and the ability to innovate, learn and push the boundaries 
    • The Scheme will begin in September 2023
