About the role
PVH Central Planning & Buying is responsible for the selection, range building and product strategy for the Region North. In a constantly changing retail environment, we look to build the best assortment for each of our retail, wholesale and concession partners based upon customer profile, sales targets and regional retail landscape.
Working closely with all key stakeholders (merchandising, wholesale, retail operations, visual merchandising and store teams) collaboration, strong communication and a passion for opportunity and success are the foundations for this team!
Reporting into the Planner the Planning Assistant plays a key role in supporting the team to deliver the range strategy for a number of divisions for one of our brands, across the whole Region.
Focusing on our seasonal ranges they will work closely with the wider Buying and Planning team to collectively ensure a cohesive strategy across multiple sales channels and countries.
Responsibilities
- Assist Planning team with producing daily/weekly reporting, for all channels across Region North (retail & wholesale).
- To prepare analysis packs as necessary and provide commentary for the team.
- Monthly/Seasonal forecast review and hindsight for Retail and Wholesale.
- Contribute to departmental merchandising planning strategy, with the customer and brand in mind.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders across both Region North and Amsterdam head office teams.
- Updates central planning documents ensuring key deadlines are hit for both retail and wholesale central functions.
- Assist with sizing analysis, and help optimize range performance through micro-range analysis and reporting, working with the trading teams.
- Works with Wholesale teams to support in season trading across a number of partners.
- Maintain planning data/ fields within various systems: SAP BW/ HANA, Excel. Focus on accurate management of seasonal line details.
- Support wider team to ensure smooth process for new and refit stores.
- Formulate new systems and processes aiming to continually improve merchandising practices.
- Supports in post season analysis and feedback creation.
- Manage general administrative duties for the wider Planning team.
Who you are
- You’ll be educated to an A level qualification (or equivalent) or above.
- Experience with Excel required, with basic understanding of formula creation and large data management.
- You’ll have good analytic skills.
- You’ll be personable and have the ability to build relationships with ease.
- You’ll be a commercially astute and have an interest in the wider fashion industry/current competitive marketplace.
- You have a passion to excel within the Planning & Buying function within PVH.
- You will work well with change, being able to quickly adapt and work with pace.
