Graduate Consulting Delivering Deal Value London Autumn 2021
Graduate programme
Our 18-month graduate training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, picking up business, personal and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.
Delivering Deal Value (DDV)
Our Delivering Deal Value team works with top tier global Corporate and Private Equity clients on Mergers & Acquisitions transactions ranging from a value of £50m to over £40billion. We help our clients analyse the operational aspects of the deal to highlight opportunities and risks. The rapid identification and quantification of these operational improvements creates significant value and can lead to adjustments in sale price and potential post-deal performance improvement opportunities.
Sitting within Consulting and working directly with the Deals team, you will typically find yourself in teams anywhere from 2 to 20 people, often with PwC teams from other parts of consulting, other lines of service, and often other countries. You will be based at the PwC More London office in central London, however subject to project needs you may be required to travel and be based at the client offices. There are also many opportunities for travel, both within the UK and internationally.
You will be given the opportunity to work across all industry sectors e.g. Industrial products, Retail, Consumer, Leisure, Health & Pharmaceuticals, Technology, Media, Telecoms, Financial Services, as well as cross industry sector functional areas e.g. Finance, Technology. You will also gain experience in a number of pre/post deal scenarios through supporting our go-to-market product offerings: Operational Due Diligence, Separation, Rapid Value Creation and Post Merger Integration.
You will be working in a fast paced environment, with the typical day-to-day activities including: attending and supporting client meetings, report writing, data analysis, data visualization, powerpoint presentations, company/market research, benchmarking and supporting business development initiatives.
A formal qualification is not included in the graduate programme, however, you will be supported and encouraged to take ownership of your personal development, continually learning through feedback from different projects and roles. We’ll monitor your development so you know how you're doing and where you can improve. Before you graduate from the programme, your readiness to promote to Senior Associate will be assessed against the PwC Professional to demonstrate you have the attributes required and are ready to operate at that grade.
We’ll help you learn on the job, develop every day with hands-on coaching, a dedicated mentoring scheme and regular ‘lunch and learn’ sessions.
We also provide opportunities for formal training (such as the DDV academy, Advisory University, Transactions Service Deal cycle course), new technologies (such as Alteryx and Tableau), and general consulting skills (such as writing with purpose and presenting with impact).
