Our purpose focuses on how we contribute to society, and how our business decisions can contribute to greater trust and solving important problems. In order to achieve our purpose and deliver a first-class service to our clients, we need first-class support internally. The people who power us – our internal teams – have a vital role to make sure we have all the right resources, services and technology to be the best we can be. Not all of us work directly with external clients. Some of our most talented people choose to harness their skills inside of PwC.

    Graduate programme

Our graduate training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, picking up business, personal and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.

    Technology

We use technical and business knowledge to solve our clients’ problems. And because we offer so many different technology services we need people with different experiences to help us deliver them effectively. Digital is the new normal, transforming how we work and live.

At PwC, as we focus on future innovations, we’re investing in the best and most diverse workforce of today and tomorrow. We’re pushing forward with the use of technology within our own business – enabling our people to work more efficiently and collaborate more easily. All this is part of our commitment to put technology at the centre of our strategy as we continue to help our clients navigate the future digital landscape.

    Tech Central

Our technology strategy supports our people by helping us to develop and deliver tools and platforms that utilise the latest technology from our own teams and our technology partners. Our UK “Leveraging Technology” strategy is closely aligned to our refreshed global strategy, The New Equation, and both set a direction to deliver solutions in response to business-led demand with commercial models that allow us to monetise and scale the assets we build. Our priorities and activity are directly linked to the growth areas and client demands that we see in the market. Technology is critical to our ability to understand and capitalise on the o

pportunities that exist in the market but technology alone is never the solution. So, our investment in technology is focused in a way that empowers our people, and complements the skills and expertise they bring to create a future that is human-led and tech-powered.

On 1 December we will begin the first phase of a major investment in our Technology Transformation programme and a significant investment under The New Equation. The Tech Central team will comprise much of the capability that already exists in UK IT and T&I, but by bringing these two groups together to create a new team we have the opportunity to develop a function that will have scale, agility and efficiency at its core.

Tech Central team promotes a level of standardisation whilst building a central capability and championing co ordination across the firm.  Our operating model delivers demand-led development with commercial focus, technology solution delivery, a tech talent framework, a value driven data strategy, innovation, technology architecture alignment and governance, and focused technology communities of practice all against a consistent pragmatic technology risk approach.
