The role
We have an amazing opportunity for a New Product Development Marketing Intern to join PZ Cussons Beauty Team. We are looking for individuals with a keen interest in the beauty industry to help manage the day to day activities for our Brand team! You will be delivering first-class marketing campaigns and content for our iconic brands and be a vital part of the business from day one. This role is creative and analytic, good communication and research skills are of great importance for this Sanctuary Spa Marketing Internship!
Principle accountabilities
This brand marketing internship will work across one or more of our Beauty brands, supporting the team in day-to-day activation in areas of responsibility such as:
Npd
- Market research – competitor & category – to help the team keep up with trends & new launches
- Support the product development process with product testing, gaining consumer insight
General Marketing
- Brand Calendar – Maintaining an up to date calendar of marketing activations across all channels
- Media Planning & Reporting – Supporting Brand team colleagues in campaign creation, set up and post-campaign analysis
- Asset management – Supporting the team on the upkeep of assets across retailers, distributors and internal stakeholders utilizing third party platforms
Social Media
- Social Content Calendar – sourcing, creating &/or reviewing content for multiple channels (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok etc.)
- Community Management – working alongside social agency & customer service
- Reporting – Using in-house tools to monitor and analyse social activity, identifying successes, learnings & opportunities
Merchandising
- Online – Working alongside retailers to ensure our products are presented in the best way with correct images, descriptions & categorization
- In Store – Competitor & category research of best-in-class execution in key retail partners e.g. Boots, Superdrug, Sainsburys.
Office Support
- Be the key support to brand teams on daily tasks – from organising couriers, managing stock replenishment to raising purchase orders for invoicing & payments across product teams, PR, social, marketing, media department
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Needed
- Detail orientated, deadline driven and able to multi-task with excellent organisation and time management skills
- Excellent written communication, copywriting and proofing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Good presentation skills
- Be able to work in a team and adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office – particularly PowerPoint & Excel - and keen interest in using new software & tools.
Requirements
- The role will require four days a week in person in the Central London Office.
- You may on occasion need to work more (five days) in the office. Or attend out of hours events.
- The successful candidate would be able to commute to Central London or re-locate to the area.
