    QBE’s Early Careers sustainability programme gives you an opportunity to work in an environment where you can build your interpersonal skills, develop professionally, and accelerate your career.   

    This is a new, permanent role where you will join our early careers community (they’re a great network!) and be enrolled onto our 2-year professional apprenticeship programme; upon successful completion you will achieve a qualification specific to the business area you apply to.  

    Internal Communications Executive – Sustainability 

    The opportunity

    Our international business is recruiting for an Internal Communications Executive to join our busy communications team. We’ve a great story to tell our people about our sustainability journey and you will help bring our story to life.  You’ll be part of the internal communications team, to engage, educate and inform our sustainability story to our people across our international business.  

    Your new role 

    • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and join the dots between them so that we tell a consistent, aligned narrative.   
    • Work with key areas of the business such as procurement, Claims, Risk, Underwriting, Finance and Operations to align their sustainability narrative and outcomes.  
    • Create timely, creative content that supports the business narratives, using our communications channels as the delivery method.  
    • Support the delivery of the sustainability engagement plan – this includes organising relevant Speaker Series content, promoting our suite of training materials, creating, and developing narrative for our people leaders, working with the Foundation on the delivery of their plan, supporting narrative for our bids and tenders, broker / customer messaging, and coordinating with the Group activity. 
    • Measure and review the success of the engagement plan and report relevant KPIs into the wider internal communications reporting.  
    • Assist with planning of future sustainability engagement activities based on measurement findings and feedback.  
    • Attend relevant meetings to allow for alignment with narrative and actions discussed.  

    About you 

    • A bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, preferred but not essential. 
    • Strong written and presentation skills.  
    •  Strong organisation skills with the ability to work single-handedly and work to multiple deadlines. 
    • Confident communicator. 
    • Ability to influence both directly and indirectly. 
    • A connector – someone who can help join the dots, ensuring we are inclusive in our thinking and conversations about sustainability.
