    Commercial

    The Group Business Development function comprises Bidding, Commercial, Supply Chain & Procurement, Sales Operations, Estimating, Capture and Sales & Business Development teams.

    Based within the Group Business Development function, the Commercial are a group of deal making experts who specialise in building sound contracts that work for both QinetiQ and our customers.  We solve complex problems on existing contracts, and grow our business by supporting change.

    The QinetiQ Commercial team support the generation of new business, and management of contracts that have been won by the company.  We advise on deal structure, support and lead negotiations with our customers, and we help ensure that the business is aware of the risk and reward balance of entering into a deal.  We also support contracts generation, manage disputes, changes, and exit of contracts.

    Our Commercial Graduates serve in a series of 6 month placements which would be spent offering commercial support in and around one of the business units, or within our deployable pool serving one of our portfolios or major projects.  Commercial Graduates are also given the opportunity to gain some experience within our adjacent functions like; sales, supply chain & procurement or legal. You will be in a position to make a real difference in the operational success of our business, and shall work to accrue a broad commercial skills base from which to launch your career.

    Requirements

    Academic

    You will need to have obtained or be studying towards at least a 2:2 in a degree with a key focus on any of the disciplines listed below:

    • Business Management
    • Law

    We will also consider applications which have clear & relevant external experience in any of the above disciplines. You will also need to support this by having obtained or be studying towards at least a 2:2 degree.

    Additional 

    • Have hobbies &/or work experience which is customer facing & focused on customer relations
    • Sales & marketing experience is beneficial
    • You must of graduated no earlier than 2019 OR will graduate no later than 2022
