About the team
Automation Services
QinetiQ UK IT and Shared Services should be run by a data driven, self-healing set of automated processes and systems that can scale across a globally connected infrastructure to meet the demands of QinetiQ and its customers. Our staff should be able to focus on complex, cutting edge, business supporting activities and not mundane repeatable tasks.
Our goal as Automation Services is to enable and facilitate this by helping to develop solutions that increase the performance, stability and repeatability of QinetiQ deliverables and those of its staff.
Stakeholders should expect the automation team to set, implement, maintain and monitor the standards, drive innovation, guide or help automate processes across the business, allowing the wider workforce time and space to grow and develop their own practices, process and skills.
Our success is defined by each system, process or dataset that is handed back to the Shared Services function or wider business that allows a move towards autonomy.
What will I be doing
- Assisting Splunk engineers in the development of automated solutions to business and technical processes across multiple technology areas
- Assisting technology engineers in developing their own solutions
- Maintaining Splunk systems and processes
- Continual Improvement of existing processes
Academic requirements
You will need to have obtained a degree with a key focus on any of the disciplines listed below:
- Data Analysis
- Machine Learning
We will also consider applications which have clear & relevant external experience in any of the above disciplines.
Additional requirements
- Have a strong interest and/or experience with process definition and documentation
- Passionate about technology, data and automation
- Please be aware that many roles within QinetiQ will be subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors including your nationality, any previous nationalities you have held, and your place of birth may limit those roles you can perform for the organisation.
