It’s an exciting time to join one of our Early Careers programmes at QinetiQ. We are always looking for great people to join our team, whether you are taking your first steps in starting a career or you are looking to make a career change, we have a wide range of exciting opportunities for you.

    Weapons Science

Our Weapons Science capabilities cover weapons and explosives materials-related activities, plus wider Army capabilities. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team on a range of critical customer projects and our work encompasses world-leading research and evaluation in weapon / gun systems and military capabilities, incorporating new technologies within the UK services (exploring the ‘art of the possible’) to comprehensive evaluation and testing of weapon and gun systems and components, plus assessment of other future capabilities to be used by the Army (such as robotic and autonomous systems). A key part of your work will involve working in facilities such as land weapon test ranges, which are often unique in the work undertaken, and safe working in these areas is paramount.

Our teams are primarily involved in the evaluation and testing of weapon systems and explosive materials in order to ensure that systems are both safe and perform to the highest levels, and the broad field of army experimentation programmes, such as the Army Warfighting Experiments and Human Machine Teaming programmes.
