Summer placement with ASIC Digital Design Implementation team to help design, develop and optimize Qualcomm's pioneering range of IoT / Voice and Music products. We are looking for a creative and self-motivated intern to work in our Cambridge office with the Digital team on a new task, which aims to improve the efficiency of current Implementation Flow, adopting the latest updates from central CAD and EDA vendor enabling AI based analyses and performance evaluation deployed on to existing projects. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on advanced digital circuits and systems that enhance audio experiences.

Skills/experience

Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python / TCL. Knowledge of digital circuits and CMOS technology. Some experience with EDA tools for Synthesis, Place & Route and Timing Analysis is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

This is for a summer placement of fixed duration. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a senior member of staff. The candidate is expected to complete and document the tasks so that the tasks can be adopted in our future products.

Education

Requirements Studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent. Preferably studying for a higher degree.
