Based in Qualcomm’s Cambridge UK office, this is a permanent role in an innovation team developing proof of concept demonstrators, system designs and core technology for the Connected Smart System business unit. The focus of these systems is digitization of the retail environment with a particular emphasis on location and sensing. The job includes design, implementation, and improvement of algorithms together with feasibility studies, data analysis and recommendations of system improvements. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly self-motivated, proactive, and independent and would be expected to, for example, help define project requirements, contribute to the technical direction of projects and be comfortable with personal responsibility. They will additionally be expected to follow best practice in both the scientific and engineering aspects of their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Location Algorithms and technology
- Collect, analyse, and visualize data
- Learn and Maintain state of the art knowledge in the relevant domains
- Develop proof of concepts, present results
- Maintaining, refactor and reviewing code, writing unit tests and documentation
- Oversee and support realization of results in products
- Work collaboratively within our multidisciplinary team and across the wider organization
- Debug complex systems involving HW, SW and protocol aspects
