Information Services (IS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint to the post of– Analyst/Programmer (DevOps) - Graduate Trainee.
The successful candidate will provide IT development and support services and contribute to the implementation, development, administration and support of University Library computing services, applications and our hybrid cloud and on-premises computing platform.
You will deliver, improve, support and transform hardware and software IT services through digital transformation and automation, embracing Agile development and taking a DevOps approach.
Our tailored training programme will give you the opportunity to expand your skillset and potential and you will learn about all aspects of the University’s approach to systems management and development.
About You
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate:
- Have or be about to obtain a 2.1 degree, or higher degree, with a significant computing component.
- Knowledge of high-level programming languages such as Java, PHP or Python.
- Knowledge of working with web technologies e.g., HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, Low Code.
- Knowledge of working with database technologies e.g., MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server.
- Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting hardware and software in a Windows environment.
