    Tracey Concrete Ltd in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast have an exciting employment opportunity for a graduate to work on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership.

    In collaboration with the School of Natural and Built Environment (NBE) at Queen’s University Belfast the candidate will work in Tracey Concrete (Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh) to create environmentally friendly jacking pipes by integrating innovative technologies and materials that contribute to better performance and carbon footprint neutrality.

    The role

    Tracey Concrete is one of the largest precast concrete manufacturers in the UK and Ireland. Originally founded in 1974, Tracey Concrete Ltd has grown steadily and currently employs 200 people in its plants in Enniskillen and Belcoo, Co Fermanagh.

    They are a market leader in Concrete Pipes, Perfect Bases, Manhole Rings, Jacking Pipes, Headwalls and Cattle Slats. In 2009 the company began manufacturing concrete jacking pipes and currently supply pipes to Tunnelling projects in Europe and Canada.

    About you

    The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate you have:

    • At least a 2.1 accredited Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.
    • Completion of a module in concrete materials.
    • Knowledge and/or experience of finite element analysis.
    • Understanding of cement chemistry.
    • Understanding of Life cycle assessment.
    • Relevant work experience.
