As a QVC Technology Graduate you will focus on the technical side of things, you’ll get a first-hand look at our omni-channel business solutions and a say on critical projects and how we make good products and services even better.
Our graduates are placed into real job roles from day one, you will be a permanent member of the Technology Team and will have exposure to our Global business and impact a variety of markets including, the US, China, Japan, Italy and Germany!
Software Engineering
As a member of a project or enhancement team, the Associate Software Engineers will deliver business impactful changes to new and existing systems. You will deliver quality and timely applications by leveraging modern software design and development principles along with testing methodologies.
You will be an active contributor in the full software development lifecycle, leveraging state-of-the-art tools. Developers support all facets of the QVC business including Marketing & Merchandising, Distribution, New Media (Mobile applications), Ecommerce, HR, Finance, Payroll and Customer Fulfillment Services.
Product Management
We help our customers during account creation, authentication, and purchase across our platforms and delivering on our Service Promise by giving customers a Home to Express, Manage, and Share their unique distinctiveness with our brand(s) in a secure and compliant manner.
The Associate Product Manager is the member of a cross-functional and cross-market agile development team who works with limited guidance, to be the customer representative and effectively address product priorities while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity.
As such, with guidance, the Associate Product Manager articulates detailed user stories, participates in daily scrum rituals, assists with any necessary product-related clarifications, and can manage local market and global priorities.
Client Support
The Client Support Team’s responsibility is to ensure that IT issues affecting our staff are resolved swiftly and efficiently and that our staff are provided with the appropriate hardware and software that they require to perform their roles effectively. The team monitors, supports and maintains all the devices used by staff across the UK market, including laptops, desktops, virtual machines and mobile devices.
The Client Support Team also works in partnership with our Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and other teams to ensure that issues affecting our staff are fully resolved, new systems are implemented successfully and to help protect our end user environment.
Cybersecurity Risk & Governance, Compliance
As part of the Global Cybersecurity Team you could be working in a number of areas such as Data Privacy, Risk & Governance, and Compliance. This position will provide you with the opportunity to learn about key business practices and processes that contribute to Qurate Retail Group’s success in the retail market space.
The individual will participate in assessing the risks and controls throughout the organization against relevant threats and determine the potential loss exposure to QVC’s domestic and international operations, including various sites throughout the US, UK, Germany, Italy and Japan. Travel is expected to be 20-25%.
About You
- You are currently working towards a degree or have completed a degree within the last 24 months within Computer Science, Computing or a related Technology Bsc., Information Systems, IT Advisory or Audit.
- You are committed to learning new things, passionate and enthusiastic about technology and a real ideas person.
- You are a great communicator and are able communicate to both technical and non technical people.
