The RAC Compliance team is growing, and we are creating a new role of Graduate Compliance Manager who will play key role supporting our existing compliance team. The mission of our compliance team is to support the business in delivering great outcomes and fair value to customers and more broadly ensuring that RAC’s activities are conducted in line with regulatory and conduct standards.

As Graduate Compliance Manager you will have a varied workload liaising with all areas of the business and you will be at the forefront of new projects, products, propositions, and other initiatives to ensure the delivery of positive customer outcomes.
The successfully appointed Graduate Compliance Manager will join a Group Compliance Team consisting of 10 highly motivated and experienced individuals. It is a sociable and supportive team which is highly regarded across the business and has a reputation for developing and cultivating talent, with plenty of opportunities for progression.
We are keen to nurture the successful candidate within the RAC giving them exposure to a wide range of regulatory and compliance issues with a view to developing expertise in regulatory compliance. This is a permanent role with great prospects and opportunities for the future. The role will be located within our RAC Bradley Stoke office in Bristol. Our teams are currently working from home with plans to transition to a permanent hybrid working model from early 2022, when colleagues will return to the office 2 days per week and work from home 3 times per week.
Role purpose
This Graduate Compliance Manager vacancy truly offers a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious candidate looking to embark on entry-level role to compliance.
On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to support the wider team in:
- Providing impartial advice and guidance on regulatory and compliance issues to all levels of the business, including senior management.
- Assisting with the delivery and implementation of compliance change programmes and the compliance element of wider projects.
- Communicating, by way of reports and presentations, key information to key stakeholders through relevant governance committees.
- Responding to the requirements of the FCA, PRA and other regulators from time to time, including ensuring that the business complies with its relevant regulatory reporting requirements.
- Assisting the business in enhancing and maintaining an effective compliance culture.
- Working proactively to ensure the effective management, and oversight of, adherence to FCA guidance, rules and principles and the management of conduct risk.
- Supporting and delivering compliance training and awareness activities to the business where required to maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and conduct risk requirements, industry best practice and developments, sharing knowledge with the wider business as appropriate.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would be a recent graduate (or equivalent, ideally but not necessarily LLB/BSc/BA in law, finance or related subject) we will offer full training required, but good academic foundations would be advantageous. Your focus and attention to detail is vital, within this role you’ll also need to demonstrate high levels of accuracy in a pressurised and time critical environment.
