    RAC Legal Services are growing rapidly, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Advisor to join our Legal Services team in our Legal Advisor Contact Centre in Bristol

    About the role

    If you are a qualified graduate with an LLB plus either postgraduate qualification (LPC/BPTC/LLM) and/or experience in 2 of the following areas: Employment, Property, Family and Wills and Probate law, this is an excellent opportunity to further your legal career. Experience of working in customer facing or call centre environment along with excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills would also be highly advantageous.     As a Legal Advisor you can expect to be providing accurate, initial legal advice and assistance to our RAC and Corporate partner customers by telephone and in writing on a range of private law matters, offering positive resolutions over the phone, including policy application and guidance on all products provided by and/or serviced by RAC Legal Services. This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the most recognised brands in the UK, whilst using your skills to gain valuable experience within a legal services environment.

    This role will require you to work from our iconic Bristol office situated in Bradley Stoke, on a full-time basis.

    Next induction is taking place beginning of October and interviews will be taking place throughout September

    Shift work Monday to Friday with hours are no earlier than 0800 and no later than 2000

    There is some weekend work with 1 in 4 Saturdays from 0900 – 1400

    No Sundays or Bank Holidays

    Key Accountabilities

    • Deliver accurate legal advice and apply correct policy application and guidance to all clients, colleagues, and partners first time.
    • Provide clients with support through their claims journey by offering services of our suppliers
    • Ensure all calls are handled in accordance with Advisory call matrix and business objectives.
    • Ensure all calls and associated activities are logged accurately on the relevant case management systems.
    • Maintain excellent technical knowledge and level of expertise in all areas of law.
    • Ensure escalated complaints are resolved within set service level time frames to ensure customer satisfaction levels are met.
    • Support the work of the department through support of training delivery and material, administrative duties such as keying and collation of information and undertaking legal research.
    • Ensure your work conforms to standards set by the Financial Conduct Authority, Data Protection Act and other relevant legislation and/or regulatory bodies

    As a minimum you’ll be a Law graduate (LLB) with either Post Graduate Qualifications (LPC/BPTC/LLM) and/or relevant legal experience, in addition to customer service experience looking to take the next step into building your legal career with a well-known UK Brand. You will be communicating with customers offering legal advice over the telephone, so must be confident when dealing with customers and able to manage difficult conversations effectively with strong listening and communication skills.
