Job Purpose
Radius Vehicle Solutions is an established, rapidly growing and profitable service provider of contract hire and leasing to both businesses and private customers, and is part of the Radius Group of companies which includes Radius Payment Solutions and DCI fuel cards.
The firm manages just over 2,500 vehicles in the UK and Ireland and has ambitious plans to grow further in the future. The firm’s growth potential is enhanced by its cash rich and agile nature, substantive market opportunities as well as the commitment made to long term investment by its shareholders. Radius Vehicle Solutions (NI) now seeks a Trainee Management Accountant to assist within the Accounting & Financial Control division.
We would love to welcome you to our Belfast office, working hours of Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Your responsibilities day to day will be…
- Provide vital support in the preparation of the monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with weekly and monthly cash flow reporting and forecasting
- Maintain key ledgers
- Production of weekly management reporting and analysis
- Involvement in business improvement projects, as directed and as identified autonomously
- Develop and implement strong controls and procedures within the finance area, providing a strong base for the continued rapid growth of the business
- Continuous improvement of systems and process
- Ensuring all deadlines are met
- Working to a high degree of accuracy
Qualifications and specialist training required
- Part qualified management accountant, studying towards the completion of a recognised accountancy qualification.
- Educated to degree level, minimum 2:1
What do we expect of you?
Required:
- Advanced Excel skills – including experience of creating and using Pivot Tables and V-Look Up
- Experience of Sage or similar accounting system.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of interacting across all levels of the organisation including dealing with non-finance people to gather relevant information
- Experience of fostering strong working relationships within the finance team and across the organisation.
- Excellent attention to detail
Desirable:
- Experience of management accounting
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Experience of working within a fast-growing business environment
- Experience of managing projects in the management accounting arena, specifically those designed to improve and streamline processes
- Experience of audit processes
