    Position overview

    The Digital Training Intern plays a pivotal role in supporting and administering training programs for employees within our digital commerce environment.

    This position involves assessing the training needs of the organisation, facilitating skill and knowledge development, supporting the creation of comprehensive training, conducting in-person training sessions, and monitoring the overall effectiveness of the training initiatives. In partnership with these activities the role nurtures and develops a voice of employee culture, harnessing the value our employee voice has within our company.

    Please note, this is a 12 month fixed term contract.

    Essential duties & responsibilities

    • Structured Onboarding: Support with the onboarding process for new hires through the implementation of a structured and engaging program, ensuring a smooth transition into the organisation
    • New Training Projects: Support with new projects within the training department
    • Unified Training Content: Ensure consistency in training content delivery across the digital commerce department, aligning with store offerings to maintain a high standard of training quality
    • Voice of Employee Integration: Collate and document training feedback and further needs as well as employee sentiment to support continuous improvement and the development of our employee voice which has a strong alliance to improving customer satisfaction and overall NPS.
    • Content Creation: Collaborate in the creation of comprehensive training content and materials for all digital commerce employees
    • Talent Identification and Tracking: Support the identifying of emerging talents and tracking the performance of individuals within the department
    • Confident Delivery: Maintain a confident and engaging delivery of new training content on a regular basis
    • Material Organization: Regularly review, maintain, and organize training materials to ensure accessibility and relevance
    • Progress Monitoring: Assist with administrating a robust system for tracking and monitoring training progress across the department, ensuring timely adjustments as needed
    • Gamification Strategies: Support the integration of gamification techniques to enhance engagement and participation in training activities
    • Brand Representation: Act as a representative of the brand, inspiring and motivating employees by sharing passion and enthusiasm for the company

    Experience, skills & knowledge

    • Learning Needs Analysis: Demonstrate the ability to conduct Learning Needs Analysis and recommend appropriate solutions, challenging existing processes when necessary
    • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Exhibit expertise in presenting and collaborating with different departments, contributing to the development of strategies that meet multiple specifications
    • People Development: Showcase a passion for developing others, employing strategies such as encouragement, training, coaching, and imparting relevant knowledge and skills
    • Experience in a retail environment and exposure to a training role or a similar capacity
    • Excellent communication and influential skills, public speaking proficiency (if delivering training), motivation abilities, organizational skills, and strong customer service skills
    • Comprehensive computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant software to be able drive impactful training initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the organization
