    We are looking for a Security Support Engineer to join our growing team of like-minded tech people.

    The role

    Should you choose to accept, your responsibilities will encompass:

    • Responding to and managing security incidents, investigating breaches, and coordinating incident containment and remediation.
    • Monitoring and analysing security events and alerts, identifying potential threats, and taking necessary actions to mitigate risks.
    • Carry our vulnerability report assessments and report writing as required.
    • Documenting security incidents, their analysis, and remediation measures, and providing regular updates and reports.
    • Identifying, prioritising, and managing vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and participating in training or awareness programs.

    Requirements

    • Ideally hold one or more entry level security certifications (CompTIA S+ or equivalent)
    • Microsoft SC-200/ MS-500 / AZ-500 - (Desirable)
    • Experience in incident response and management, including analysing security incidents, coordinating response efforts, and implementing remediation measures.
    • Understanding of vulnerability management and conducting vulnerability assessments
    • Knowledge and experience in managing and configuring security infrastructure components such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), antivirus solutions, and other security tools.
    • Proven ability to stay current with emerging security trends, technologies, and vulnerabilities through continuous learning.
    • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and respond to security incidents effectively.
    • Ability to analyse security logs, network traffic, and system logs to identify potential threats or vulnerabilities.
    • Experience in conducting root cause analysis and developing appropriate remediation strategies.
    • Excellent effective communication and interpersonal skills to be able to establish and develop positive relationships.
    • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage and prioritise their workload.
    • Work independently and perform your own research.
    • Strong documentation and technical writing skills
    • Knowledge of the ITIL Framework
    • Excellent conversational fluency in English is required to clearly explain complex technical issues.
    • Full UK Driving License
