About the role

As an R & D Category Assistant at Reckitt, you will thrive in our fast-paced environment alongside a team of expert scientists dedicated to ensuring product safety and efficacy. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial in supporting technical dossier management and analytical lab compliance.

As an R&D Assistant your role will be to support NPD/EPD projects within Digestive Health as part of the Gaviscon team to ensure they are progressed to the required standard and agreed timelines, by providing support, principally to the formulation related activities e.g. formulation development and evaluation, process scale up and validation, technical trouble shooting as well as writing dossier sections but also the analytical aspects of projects e.g. testing, in vitro assessment.

Your responsibilities

  • Contribute to formulate products to meet the product brief provided:
  • Formulation development data to support global regulatory applications (formula and material justification, in line with QbD principles)
  • Support to generate laboratory data for claim substantiation
  • Support in solving technical problems using experience, knowledge, research and advice from peers/seniors
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks within the projects
  • Provide technical support for medicine, medical device & general products licence applications:
  • Author CTD modules, technical files and other technical documentation in line with specific country expectations, current best practice and global regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the teams and formulation functional initiatives.

The experience we're looking for

  • Educated to degree level such as Chemistry, Bio Chemistry or Bio Medical or other relevant scientific discipline
  • Desirable to have relevant experience of product development within an R&D Healthcare or FMCG or Medical Device environment.
  • Results orientated, self-motivated with an ability to evaluate and take calculated risks
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to think out of the box
  • Ability to work under pressure without compromising quality and delivery
  • Excellent communication skills
