    The role

    We have an exciting opportunity to join our global sustainability team, reporting into the Head of Sustainability Reporting & Communications and supporting the wider sustainability team.

    What you’ll do

    • ESG frameworks & KPIs: support the team with mapping metrics contained within selected frameworks and benchmarks (SASB, GRI, CDP, S&P (DJSI), MSCI, Sustainalytics, ESG Book, Bloomberg) and develop our KPI master datasheet further to incorporate the above indicators.
    • Sustainability Methodologies: Engage with sustainability teams to collate existing KPI/metrics methodologies, tidy up (incl. creating/refining standardised template) and work with teams to draft methodologies where we have gaps.
    • Peer benchmarking: establish a template, as well as where & how to store data, then assess key competitors sustainability strategies, mapping out targets & KPIs, performance, positions on topics (lead/match/follow) and communication/ reporting channels and formats.
    • Team admin: Refresh sustainability team IT folders/sharepoint architecture – work with teams to set up new structure and move everything across, archiving old documents etc. Work with sustainability reporting team to manage sustainability mailbox, discarding old/spam emails and support with drafting responses to enquiries using an agreed Q&A file.
    • Quality Management System: Support the team with mapping all of our sustainability policies / standards against template and guidance, including speaking with the teams to get their compliance-linked activities mapped, identify gaps and cleanse
    • Supplier benchmarking: assess key suppliers sustainability strategies, mapping out targets & KPIs, performance, positions on topics (lead/match/follow) and communication/reporting channels and formats.
    • Customer data requests: review and update the sustainability data held within Walmart Sustainability Hub
    • Various other tasks to support the team in delivering the strategic priorities

    What you’ll need

    You should be working towards a sustainability related degree and/or have demonstrable sustainability or data management/reporting experience. In addition, you’ll have:

    • A genuine desire to build your knowledge and understanding of sustainability
    • Good written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to handle several projects at once with excellent attention to details
    • Ability to work independently - you’ll be a motivated self-starter, but someone who also thrives as part of a team
    • Be highly organised, in terms of both personal approach and reporting
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially excel, and Sharepoint
