    The role

    We are looking for four ESG analysts to work in our dedicated ESG team.  You may be a recent graduate, you may be a couple of years into a consulting role or you may be early in your sustainability career. These jobs are intended to support and deliver the roll out of ESG research coverage on our multi-sector universe. Successful candidates will work in collaboration with Redburn’s fundamental research teams. It is our intention that the candidates will take on dedicated ESG stock coverage over time, opening up the opportunity to influence both investors and companies.

    Initially the role will involve:

    • Supporting Redburn Research teams to build up full coverage of our ESG universe
    • Building ESG models, collecting and analysing new ESG data
    • Maintaining and updating client presentations
    • Monitoring ESG news flow
    • Contributing to ESG Research and the ESG Newsletter
    • Developing a working understanding of UK, European and US companies
    • Responding to client requests
    • Attending company meetings and industry conferences
    • Talking to companies, with Redburn’s analysts, about their ESG credentials
    • Using all of the above to build experience and understanding of the financially material sustainability factors that drive value and risk.

    About you

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Passion for, and commitment towards, sustainability topics and financial markets
    • A university degree or equivalent qualification
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong Excel and analytical skills
    • Intellectual flair, ambition, independent thinking, initiative, self-sufficiency, and strong interpersonal skills
    • The ability to think outside the box, solve problems creatively and embrace challenges
    • Some work experience in financial markets or a consulting role is also considered helpful though not a requirement.

    Package

    Market rate salary plus discretionary cash bonus.  Private Medical, Life and Income Protection Insurance.  9% company contribution to pension scheme.  25 days’ holiday per annum rising to 30 days after 5 years’ service.
