REFY are seeking a motivated and proactive intern to join our Product Development team.
As a PD intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product research, testing, and conceptualisation within a fast growing, forward thinking environment.
This will be a paid internship in our HQ working 16 hours over 2 days a week.
Key responsibilities
Testing
- Using the REFY internal testing database to brief and book in product testers.
- Working with the PD team to hold testing sessions and focus groups.
- Documenting and presenting tester feedback.
- Taking professional-looking testing images.
Product marketing research
- Researching beauty, accessory and consumer trends.
- Beauty competitor analysis (pricing, offering, marketing)
- Actioning comp shops for formula and shades.
- Presenting back all research to wider Product Team
Sampling
- Purchasing product and supplies needed for products, shoots and activations.
- Keeping the PD room and testing areas organised and hygienic.
- Archiving all product development samples.
General admin support
- Creating shipments and sending out parcels
- Assisting the Product Team with any decks or admin tasks
Skills knowledge and expertise
- Proficiency in Google Suite/Microsoft Office
- An interest in the cosmetic industry with a willingness to learn about product development
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cosmetic Science, Marketing, Product Design, Chemistry or a related field
- Stong Organizations skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail, when conducting product research, testing or documentation
- Enthusiasm for learning and growing within the beauty industry
- A proactive and collaborative mindset, with strong communication and teamwork abilities.
