Renesas develops next generation computing platforms for applications in Autonomous Vehicles, Advanced Driver Assist Systems, Industrial Automation etc. These require complex and innovative strategies to manage and mitigate faults safely to avoid risk of injury.
The Functional Safety Competence Centre is involved in critical safety analysis and assessments in the automotive industry, where ensuring the reliability and safety of hardware components is of utmost importance.
Responsibilities
- Supporting Safety analysis: Supporting the team to analyse safety of hardware products, especially assessing their capability to withstand and operate safely in the presence of random hardware faults.
- Support Technical Assessment: Supporting the team to assess automotive hardware components such as microcontrollers (MCU), system-on-chip (SoC), analog components, and power systems in alignment with the functional safety standard ISO26262.
- Global Collaboration: Coordinate, lead, and collaborate closely with global teams spanning the company's worldwide operations.

- Educational Background: An ideal candidate should have an honours degree in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline, indicating a strong foundation in technical knowledge.

- Cross-Cultural Collaboration: Candidates should be comfortable working with international and multicultural colleagues, as the position involves coordination with global teams.
