    The Insurance Risk Management Graduate will be part of the Risk and Insurance team and be an integral team player in supporting Blackstone Asset Management and portfolio companies in the UK and Europe.

    Areas of focus for Risk and Insurance include optimizing risk management practices, utilizing data analytics to improve the overall risk profile, proactively providing claims management and ensuring insurance programs appropriately address exposures and provide the most broad and competitive terms available in the marketplace.

    Key responsibilities

    • Assist with the insurance renewals, including preparing renewal submissions, obtaining underwriting data, completing applications and attending meetings with insurance brokers and underwriters
    • Assist in the onboarding of a new RMIS database and in the management of data
    • Review policies for accuracy and upload new policies to the firm’s RMIS database
    • Prepare pre and post renewal reports and presentations
    • Track and manage data based on established KPIs for Risk and Insurance team
    • Manage renewal schedules and provide data quality checks and ensure they are regularly updated
    • Support the claims management process including the coordination of information between the business and third-party adjusters

    What you bring to the role

    We’re looking for a graduate to join our Risk and Insurance team. This is a brilliant opportunity to train as an insurance risk manager and get exposure across all lines of insurance. You’ll be instrumental in kicking off efforts in developing and implementing best in class risk management practices and managing insurance programs at an unprecedented time in the risk management industry.

    You’ll be at the early stage of your career, with some familiarity with insurance and you’ll be confident in your plans to qualify with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and obtain the Certificate in Insurance. Familiarity with a Risk Management Information System (RMIS) is preferred but not required. The candidate would be qualified to a Bachelor degree level or equivalent.
