    RINA is currently recruiting for a Graduate Materials Engineering Consultant to join its office in Leatherhead within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division.

    Responsibilities

    As a Graduate Materials Engineering Consultant, you will:

    • Investigate materials-related issues, focusing on how materials impact product or asset performance and reliability.
    • Perform hands-on testing and analysis using state-of-the-art techniques like FTIR, GC, and ion chromatography.
    • Evaluate materials for new applications and ensure compliance with specifications and legislative standards.
    • Contribute to technical proposals, client meetings, and deliver high-quality reports.
    • Collaborate with senior consultants, learning industry-leading techniques and practices.

    About you

    We’re looking for passionate, inquisitive problem-solvers with:

    • A minimum 2:1 degree in Materials Engineering or a related STEM field (MEng, MSc, or PhD preferred).
    • A hands-on approach and demonstrable practical ability.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • A team-oriented mindset with a client-focused approach.
    • A full UK driving licence (or commitment to obtain one).
