Risktec Solutions Ltd is an independent and specialist provider of risk and safety management services. We help clients in high hazard industries to manage safety and business risk, including the oil and gas, chemical, nuclear, defence, rail, conventional power and clean energy sectors. Risktec is part of TÜV Rheinland, a leading global provider of technical services to industrial, transportation and healthcare sectors.

We are seeking a full-time Graduate Business Support Consultant with excellent business analytical skills to support our leadership and management teams. Working closely with the Managing Director and other directors and within a small business support team, the successful candidate will support the understanding, analysis and improvement of business performance.

Job responsibilities

The successful candidate will work with the company’s directors and team leaders to critically evaluate the company’s performance and identify any issues or areas for improvement, as well as engage in innovative strategic projects.

The role will be diverse and will cover areas of the business such as business strategy, business development, business analysis, market research and corporate reporting. The duties and responsibilities will evolve with the business over time and will include:

  • Working with the company directors and team leaders on business analysis and strategy activities including quarterly business strategy reviews and updates, the annual market potential analysis process, and strategy to action (S2A) plans for key clients, new services, as well as expansion into new countries and sectors
  • Supporting the company directors with regular reporting of business performance and on-demand reporting for revenue predictions, sales analysis, company monthly updates etc.
  • Supporting the client relations team with key customer relationship activities, such as the collection and analysis of client survey feedback, which will then be reported to the directors.
  • Conducting on-demand market research to identify the key trends, clients and projects in selected sectors and services.
  • Coordinating client-facing business research summer projects in partnership with the University of Manchester Business School.
  • Working with colleagues on internal company process improvement such as managing company’s internal intranet and internal tools, reporting sustainability initiatives, assisting with pre-qualifications, etc.
  • Providing support to other departments (e.g., corporate marketing team, human resources, IT, client relations team) when required with business analysis tasks.

Preferred qualifications and experience

  • Graduate with 2:1 or higher from a top university in a relevant subject, such as but not limited to: Business, Economics, Management, Project Management, Marketing (relevant experience or other qualifications will be considered for the right candidate)
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
