Robert Half are currently recruiting within the Financial Services sector for a Graduate Accountant in the City of London.
Role
This Graduate Accountant is for a financial services firm based in the City of London. There is a lot of scope for development within this role and your primary responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:
Client Treasury:
- Reviewing and inputting of client treasury requests and payments
- Instructing FX instructions with the firm's designated institutions
- Maintenance of financial records relating to client cash ledgers & movements
- Liquidity management within the client bank accounts.
- Provide assistance with CASS processes as required.
Management Reporting:
- Support the monthly management accounts reporting process, posting journals and maintaining key balance sheet reconciliations.
- Extracting trade and settlement revenue to produce monthly financial reports for the entities and business units.
- Produce Key Performance Indicators for Financial and Risk analysis.
Accounts Payable:
- Business invoice processing and payment and supplier management.
Other:
- Support the team in responding to both Financial and CASS audit requests as required;
- Assist in the development of financial analysis, reports and models;
- Other 'Ad-Hoc' projects in support of the finance team.
Profile
- To be considered for this Graduate Accountant position in the City of London the following criteria is desirable:
- 2:1 or 1:1 graduate from a Redbrick / Russell Group University (desirable)
- ACCA / CIMA qualification (studying or with the ambition to start)
- Strong excel and communication skills
- 3 - 6 months accounting experience (work placement, university placement, internship)
