    Based in a state of the art site in Burgess Hill (15 minutes by train from Brighton), but with flexible working opportunities, we have an opening for a student / undergraduate or graduate to join our Communications team at Roche Diagnostics, starting Summer 2022 for a 12 month period.

    The position

    Throughout your internship you will gain insight into the healthcare diagnostics industry by immersing yourself within a fast-paced, award winning, communications team. You will be involved in a variety of activities and have the opportunity to manage your own projects.

    Your main responsibilities will include

    • Managing and general housekeeping of our internal digital channels and help populate our external digital channels (social media, websites)
    • Editorial scheduling for our channels
    • Leading on some content and material creation
    • Working with third party agencies on selected communications projects
    • Content curation, design and issue weekly internal newsletter
    • Partnering with other communicators across the Roche network to align internal communications
    • Participating in cross-functional meetings on selected marketing projects which require communications expertise
    • Some administrative tasks including raising purchase orders, scheduling team meetings, supporting the Head of Communications on coordinating team events
    • Being a corporate brand ambassador
    • Providing training on the use of social media for our employees
    • Writing stories and messages for internal and external materials

    Who you are

    We are looking for a flexible and hardworking Intern who has preferably experience in communications, marketing, media or public relations and/or preferably experience in healthcare.

    Furthermore, you have

    • Social media /digital skills
    • Excellent verbal and written skills (journalistic / storytelling skills)
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Good time management and organisation skills 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft programs
    • Excellent computer and digital skills
