Join us for a 12-month internship, and you'll get incredible exposure to the breadth of the work we do to pioneer our planet’s vital power needs. We believe in the transforming potential of technology to protect our planet, secure our world, and explore our universe. You’ll help us deliver our vision of a net zero carbon future for us all.

At Rolls-Royce, you’re not expected to follow a set path. Everyone is unique, so every Rolls-Royce journey is different too. We'll help you to find your way and discover your potential. Your unique personality, passion, and sense of purpose makes us who we are and a place where everyone belongs. And anything is possible. Be you. Be Rolls-Royce.

What you’ll do on the programme

We’re one of few organisations on the planet with the scope of technology and the breadth of expertise to tackle the biggest challenges around. And on a 12-month internship with us, you'll get the chance to experience that first-hand.

You'll be aligned to one of our business areas, Civil Aerospace, Defence, Electrical or Submarines and complete rotational 'gigs', moving across teams and projects gathering experiences.

You'll work in innovation and concept development, design, testing, manufacturing, or service support for sectors as wide-reaching as Electrical, Defence, IT and Digital & Data. You could see the progress we’re making on nuclear powered space travel, all-electric air taxis, or find yourself using data, technology, and AI to improve a power station's impact on the environment.

Thanks to a combination of digital learning and on-the-job training, you’ll build a wealth of new skills with the help of industry experts. People who are as invested in your success as you are.

What you’ll need to be successful

Any STEM degree, with subjects directly related to our work –– or a joint honours degree that combines a STEM subject with another like business or economics.

You must be flexible about where you work and be open to travelling between locations if required.

You’ll also need to be as passionate as we are about the world of technology. You’ll need to believe in the future of sustainable power, and its potential to change lives for the better. You’ll need to be open-minded, curious, collaborative, and agile in your approach to solving problems.

This is your chance to gain a fantastic insight into a leading, global business. But it’s up to you to make the most of it. If you do well, you could be offered a place on our graduate programme - and build on the experience you've already had.
