If you are a university student studying locally for a Civil Engineering/or Commercial Construction degree we can offer year-out placements and shorter summer placements to provide you with an opportunity to put the knowledge you have learnt at university into action on one of our live projects, with longer term opportunities to return post-graduation.

Your Mission
Starting as a Trainee Civil Engineer you will support the site engineering team as part of your longer journey towards Incorporated (IEng) and Chartered (CEng) status of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Your responsibilities will include:
- Communicating effectively at all levels including site management, technical specialists, commercial staff, planners, engineers, supervisory staff operatives, suppliers, third parties and client representatives.
- Maintaining high personal standards in health and safety
- Maintaining high standards in environmental awareness and behaviour
- Supporting quality delivery through effective planning and right first time delivery
- Monitoring and recording delivery against the agreed programme and construction methods
- Maintaining good working relations with client, designer, supply chain and others
- Ensuring that works are accurately and clearly set out before work commences
Who are we looking for
- Currently studying towards a degree in Civil Engineering
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated and committed to career in civils contracting
