The Junior UI Designer will work on business-as-usual requests such as designing new web pages or amending existing designs. The role will also be involved in Kew wide projects, such as delivering a Single Basket experience and will focus on the research, wireframes, high-fidelity design, user testing/iterating designs to create a new e-commerce front end for this project.
About you
You’ll be hands-on, ready to get stuck in. One day you might find yourself going out into the gardens to test a wireframe or prototype with the public, the next could be designing a checkout flow for our new Single Basket. Ideally, you will have:
- experience working on digital products within a product or design team
- experience with web design, e-commerce desirable
- a design-related degree or equivalent industry experience
- examples of your work ready to share and discuss with us
- the ability to solve problems and manage competing priorities
- consideration and curiosity when approaching stakeholders and team members
- a passion for user-centred and inclusive design
This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.

The salary will be £36,338 - £41,747 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
