    About the role

    We are looking for a Trainee Finance Analyst to join the Finance Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for either a graduate or school leaver to start a career in Accountancy, where you can obtain Accountancy qualifications and receive study support to achieve your goals. You will have a real desire and motivation to progress your career in our Finance function.

    The Finance operations team ensures the month end close occurs on a timely basis and that the ledger and sub-ledgers contain accurate financial information ready for use by other teams within RLAM Finance and the wider business.

    Key responsibilities

    • Support the accounts receivable process to ensure that it runs accurately and on a timely basis, and carry out receipting of cash against invoices
    • Support month end close processes, such as accruals, prepayments and associated journals are accurate
    • Review rebate payments processed by outsourced suppliers.
    • Carry out balance sheet reconciliations

    Criteria

    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Numerate and analytical – high attention to detail.
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
    • Collaborative and flexible - happy to get involved in variety of tasks and projects.
    • Passionate to build a long-term career as an Accountant.
