About the team

RPS Water Consulting is a team of Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development, to our Water Industry clients to support business planning and delivery. This is an evolving industry, providing challenges and opportunities that require innovation, dedication, and teamwork to help us meet our clients’ needs.

Our Water Consultancy business has a range of prestigious AMP8 programmes leading into AMP9 and beyond, where you’ll be securing your career for the next 20 years, leaving a lasting legacy!

About you

As a key member of the Water Consultancy business, your role as <Insert Role> is critical to helping us deliver great projects for our Water Industry clients. You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of water project experts on a range of capital delivery projects.

You will have a substantial opportunity to contribute towards optioneering, outline, and detailed design expertise across various frameworks. Our scope of work encompasses a wide range of technically demanding projects in the field of Wastewater Infrastructure.

Your responsibilities

  • Data handling and analysis of large datasets
  • Survey planning and supervision
  • Travel to client sites to perform data acquisition and post data analysis
  • Extensive use of GIS, including software such as FULCRUM
  • Statistical analysis of data
  • Preparation of factual and interpretative reports
  • Catchment planning, risk assessment and intervention strategy
  • Client and stakeholder engagement and management
  • Provide input to development, maintenance and documentations of bespoke software tools and applications

Skills knowledge and qualifications required

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science, GIS, Computing or Mathematics
  • Modules covering Civil and Structural, Project Management, GIS and are desirable but not essential
  • Good communication skills and written English
  • Ability to work in a team to solve problems that matter
  • Computing skills including previous experience of Excel
