We are currently looking to a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our E&M division based in Glasgow.
The Graduate Engineer role will be responsible for assisting in all delivery preparation activities in and during operational life of programmed work. In your role as a Graduate Engineer you will receive full training and development and the platform to develop your career within WGM Engineering.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Write detailed and accurate risk assessment and method statements (RAMS).
- Undertake site surveys, taking measurements, photos, asking questions of operations, understanding of process, assessing access and egress.
- Resolve technical and logistical issues as they arise.
- Supporting the sites’ needs, material, labour, resources, plant
- Drive and lead procurement of materials through creation and review of bill of materials.
- Evaluate, organise and prioritise workload within the schedule.
- Attend client meetings.
- Liaise with clients.
- Regularly reporting projects progress and updates to Management.
- Programme management: adherence to programmes and report to management on any discrepancies.
- To provide support to management team.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
About you
- To be considered for this position you will be educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering.
- You will be ideally have previous work placements in an engineering environment.
- Travel to various sites across the country is an essential part of the role so a full UK driving license is essential for this position.
