    About Outsourcing

    The Outsourcing team are focused on supporting new and exciting international companies expand their operations into the UK and Europe.

    Our clients are typically fast growing technology, retail or life science businesses, who engage us to be their UK/European finance function. You can be a part of that team!

    We provide comprehensive accounting services to clients ranging from family owned, through to large listed companies. We believe that it is important for our people to have experience across a range of sectors, so we typically have individuals in our teams working on a variety of types of client.

    When you join this team, you’ll work towards the ACCA qualification with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

    Overall Job Purpose

    To support the Management Accountant in preparing and maintaining client accounts. Undertaking this role is a perfect foundation to progress to our Management Accountant role.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintaining a portfolio of clients, alongside the Management Accountant.
    • Leading day-to-day client relationships for purchase ledger items.
    • Processing clients accounting transactions including bank, purchase ledger, sales ledger and nominal ledger.
    • Preparing bank reconciliations.
    • Arranging bank payments and transfers on behalf of clients according to agreed deadlines.
    • Liaising with third parties on behalf of clients e.g. suppliers, insurance companies, banks.
    • Providing administrative support to the team.
    • Assisting with quarterly VAT returns and annual P11Ds.
    • Participating in team meetings, to enhance efficiencies and encourage collaboration.

    • Able to work with minimum supervision – we encourage our team to plan their own workload to meet the deadlines.
    • Organised and methodical in approach to ensure all tasks are completed according to deadlines set.
    • Uses own initiative and suggests ways to improve processes.
    • Aware of client needs and expectations - acting promptly to resolve matters in a clear and professional manner.
    • Empowered to drive your own career by participating in national projects and seizing any available training support.

    • Ability to take ownership of duties and a willingness to grow and learn within the team and company;
    • Must be very ‘hands on’ with can do attitude;
    • Able to prioritise effectively consistently meets deadlines;
    • Capable of task management, problem identification and resolution;
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with good presentation and interpersonal skills;
    • Flexible and able to work as part of a team assisting others to ensure team success;
    • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) (essential).

    Entry Requirements

    • 112 UCAS points across 3 A Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification, or 104 UCAS points across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level).
