What makes this role different from other Veterinary Nurse roles? The opportunity to work on cases that require very special care, and attention, and being a key part of those journeys to really make a difference to animals in desperate need. The hours will be working between 09:00 am to 17:00 pm Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, working closely with the permanent Veterinary Surgeon.
About Ashley Heath
The RSPCA Ashley Heath Animal Centre occupies a 32-acre site set in the picturesque & tranquil Ringwood Forest in Hampshire.
The rural surroundings provide great dog walking opportunities for our kennel dogs and for the general public alike.
What's involved?
- Emergency and critical care nursing, including primary triage
- The role is focused on direct medical and surgical patient care, bring into play your nursing experience in both medical and surgical roles
- Maintain up to date and accurate clinical records
- Dispense drugs in accordance with professional guidelines clinic rules
- Maintaining a high level of clinical hygiene and biosecurity throughout the hospital.
- Anaesthetic monitoring, perioperative nursing care and theatre practice working in a busy and modern operating theatre suite.
- Undertake continuing professional and personal development associated with the role
- Welfare and case work support
About You

- Either a Level 3 Diploma in Vet Nursing or a Degree in Vet Nursing
- Registration with the RCVS
