The role
At Safran Seats, we are unique within aerospace, as we interface with both the world's biggest airlines and airframers alike, with the largest seats portfolio of all seats suppliers. One day you could be liaising with one of the world's largest airframers, and the next, some of the biggest airline brands around the world!
In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.
Working as part of the growing aftermarket engineering team, your role will be to investigate and design
solutions for customer technical enquiries and to ensure that all issues are closed efficiently and effectively. In this job role, you will proactively support the customer as the primary function to ensure that the engineering service levels provided maintains customer satisfaction for the entire Safran Seats portfolio.
Key Responsibilities & Duties include
- Support the customers in service operations, maintain regular communications and resolve all customer concerns within planned timescales;
- Log, investigate and coordinate root cause analysis reviews to understand cause of in service failures;
- Participate in design reviews of new product development, to ensure lessons;
- learned are applied to new designs to reduce ISI's;
- Provide engineering support to the Part 145 Facility;
- Conduct drawing changes to reflect new material with regards to obsolescence;
- Act as prime technical point of contact with our aftermarket customers.
Job Requirements
- Experienced user of Catia V5;
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, techniques and design for manufacture and assembly;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to work unsupervised / self-motivated;
- Good team working skills;
- Self-motivated and capable of independent decision making.
