We’re recruiting for a Fundraising Communities Officer to join Samaritans on a 9-month contract. You’ll work in a small friendly team to drive the delivery of our Mass Participation events portfolio, to help grow participant numbers, deliver exceptional stewardship, and maximise income from online communities. You’ll be organised with excellent communication skills to engage with mass audiences in creative ways.

Samaritans’ community & events fundraising team play an important role in generating the long-term sustainable income needed to ensure Samaritans can continue to deliver its life-saving services now and in the future.

The person
We are looking for a people person with the ability to lead, develop and support large groups of fundraisers. You’ll need to be an excellent communicator, be adaptable to changing priorities and have a good understanding of online communities and digital fundraising. You’ll have experience of working with charity supporters in a fundraising environment and an understanding of databases and processes.

- 9-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC)
- We will consider Part time or Full time working requests, with flexible working practices
- £28,000 to £30,000 per annum (FTE)
- Hybrid working – This role is ‘linked’ to our central office (Ewell), with home working.
