The internship position Technology Scout (Television) will work across the European region as part of Samsung TV Business global network of Technology Scouts. The intern Technology Scout (Television) be a contributor to the future direction and strategy of the Samsung TV Business.
The range of technology in scope for the activity is to all intents and purposes limitless, encompassing machine learning, natural language processing, IoT, Materials, A/V Content as required by Samsung TV Business Future Strategy.
The role will also include elements of technical/market report writing providing progress reports and periodic summaries of new technical and business trends emerging the EU TV Business
Role and Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate sources (start-ups, universities, etc.) of unique technologies in development
- Assist with the structuring and the execution of strategic R&D collaborations between Samsung R&D teams and external parties
- Support communication between teams located at Samsung HQ in Korea and European technology sources
- Communicate collaboration results to internal stakeholders across Samsung TV Business
Skills and Qualifications
- BSc/MSc in computer science, Engineering, Physics, ideally MBA with technical background
- Exposure to R&D, Start Up and/or VC Communities
- Demonstrable combination of business and technical skills
- Demonstrable knowledge of market trends in Consumer Electronics / TV Industry
- Ability to assess new technologies/value propositions against Samsung Business Interests
- Technology Enthusiast with hunger to learn and explore new things
- Fluent English
