Reporting to the Senior Data Architect within the Chief Technology Office, this is a role for a Data Analyst at entry level.
The role
Responsible for both data analysis and data flow design across several initiatives, analysing data requirements and designing data models for many of our current initiatives. These Data Models will be logical or physical models, aligned to an industry standard and created using the approved tool from IBM – Infosphere Data Architect (IDA). This will support the creation and fulfilment of appropriate metadata management and a robust metamodel.
Data Flow design will plan how data should be flowing between systems and within larger systems covering aspects of timeliness, security, and protection of the data across varied areas of the bank.
We’re looking for someone with a diligent attitude, brilliant attention to detail, and the ability to solve queries as they arise.

What you’ll bring
- Experience of data analysis and the ability to see through large data sets to draw out the essential components.
- Have experience of analytical work.
It would also be nice for you to have
- An understanding of data management principles including the abstraction of data using data modelling principles.
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a STEM subject or studying towards
- Some experience of physical and logical data modelling
- Be energetic, pragmatic and driven with a desire to learn more about data
