We have an exciting opportunity for a Liquidity Risk Analyst to join our team, where you will be part of the wider Market & Structural Risk team, with varied responsibilities for measuring and controlling Liquidity Risk. The team covers the liquidity risk on Santander UK’s balance sheet and provides risk analysis, reporting and challenge to internal departments and senior management.
This rewarding role gives the opportunity to develop liquidity risk reporting, analysis and management skills and experience in the identification and reporting on all aspects of liquidity risks.
The difference you’ll make
- Monitoring of daily and monthly liquidity risk and reporting to senior management, committees, and Group
- Preparing monthly senior committee packs, as well as working on ad-hoc initiatives and queries
- Maintaining and development of documentation relating to policies, controls, and processes across Liquidity Risk
- Working with other business areas in Risk, Retail and Corporate Divisions and Financial Markets, and support Liquidity Risk management in business or departmental wide initiatives
- Seeking ways to continue to improve liquidity risk measurement practices
- Keeping abreast of regulatory developments and commercial landscape
What you’ll bring
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to propose good decisions through analysis, business acumen, and sound judgment, coupled with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships
- Relevant IT skills including good working experience of Excel, Powerpoint and Word
It would also be nice for you to have
- Degree in quantitative subject (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics), and or a recognised professional certification
- Banking or other financial services experience, ideally with exposure to liquidity risk management
- Experience of developing meaningful and salient management information
- Good written and verbal communication, with the proven ability to communicate complex issues succinctly and accurately

This role is based in either London or Milton Keynes with a hybrid (office/home) working approach
