    Here at our Davidstow site where you’ll be based, we manufacture and produce our Cathedral City and Davidstow cheddar ranges, as well as, Whey and GOS (AKA Galacto-oligosaccharides!)

    Shift: Monday - Friday

    Salary: £21,790 (pro rata) + £500 completion bonus

    Summer Placement, 3 month Fixed Term Contract

    You'll make contributions that matter by

    • Learning about the cheese production process and key quality drivers.
    • Taking samples from production, testing and analysing results.
    • Presenting and reporting findings and recommendations of the project and experience whilst on placement as a trainee.
    • Working as part of a team, benchmarking current production processes from milk intake to cheese entering the rapid chill store.

    You're best suited for this role if you are

    • Qualified in relevant A levels and on a course of study for a degree or other higher qualification.
    • Interested in the industry placement to support further education.
    • An excellent communicator.
    • Able to work as part of a team or independently as required.
    • Computer skilled as required e.g. Excel, Word, Power Point.

    Our business was founded in 1933. Having sold our dairies business in 2015, we now produce and sell some of the best-loved food brands in the UK, including Cathedral City cheese, Clover spread, Country Life butter and Frylight spray oil. We have a fast-growing dairy alternatives portfolio including the Vitalite and Sheese brands and also manufacture specialised ingredients used in infant formula.
