Sartorius Stedim Biotech is looking for an Account Manager to join our sales team in the South of UK. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a number of client accounts within the region for our Bioprocess Solutions (BPS) Division, covering our bioprocessing products such as bioreactors, cell culture media, fluid management technologies, filtration, chromatography etc.
The team currently consists of 6 professionals, and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you.
This position is a full-time, home-based, remote working post, with candidates ideally living within the defined territory. Travel requirements could be up to 30% of the time with customer site visits, trainings, or sales meetings etc.
Your responsibilities
- On a daily basis you will forge an understanding of your customers’ needs to promote product portfolio and services to achieve sales and revenue targets
- You will develop and maintain opportunities in CRM (Salesforce), responding to customer enquiries accordingly
- Do you enjoy presenting? You will the opportunity to conduct presentations, support demos and generate quotations when needed
- In addition, you will liaise with internal teams such as Application Specialists, Order Process Management, Sales Support etc. in support of your clients
- You will manage current customer relationships and foster new relationships to drive the business
- You will also have opportunity to participate in marketing activities and drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace
- You will follow up on the successful implementation of sales activities
What will convince us
- You have completed a minimum of a Master’s degree in life sciences or equivalent
- You may have experience in the biopharmaceutical industry (ideally in process development, with a strong upstream experience)
- You will have keen customer focus with great communication and negotiation skills (previously sales experience is not essential but is an advantage)
- Have excellent record management skills (previous use of CRM would be a benefit)
- Creative thinker, when it comes to problem solving, self – motivated and results oriented
- Persistent, ability to prioritize and work in a fast – paced environment and embrace change
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work as part of a cross functional team
