Would you like the opportunity to grow and develop your professional skills whilst contributing to a better, fairer Scotland? If so, our Procurement Graduate Programme is the opportunity for you!
We offer new recruits a career pathway into Scottish Government procurement through the Procurement People of Tomorrow initiative. We especially welcome applications from minority ethnic people and disabled people since these groups are under-represented at present.
Over two years you’ll undertake a series of operational procurement and other business placements across the Scottish Procurement and Property Directorate (SPPD). At the end of the programme you’ll be placed in a permanent post within one of our teams.
The work is varied, fast-paced, and involves regular contact with other Scottish Government colleagues and external stakeholders. You’ll work closely with your team members to deliver effective services and key objectives.
In SPPD we are helping to tackle the big issues through procurement and to secure best value for public sector spend in Scotland. You will have the opportunity to make a difference, taking action to address the Climate Emergency, driving social inclusion helping to alleviate poverty, and contributing to Scotland’s green economic recovery and longer term wellbeing.
We’re committed to our people and we will give you access to the right learning and development so that you grow your skills for the future. We’ll also support your studies towards professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
