We are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance Team. This is an exciting role in the business and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to learn and achieve personal growth within a fast paced business.
The Assistant Management Accountant is responsible for working within the Management Accounts team to produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts and departmental reports to strict deadlines; cash reporting and assist in preparing company budgets.
What does the role involve?
- Working part of a small team preparing monthly management accounts.
- Analysis and review of detailed P&L accounts with narrative against budget and prior year.
- P&L reviews for actuals and budget, attend and take lead in quarterly reviews with responsible head office budget holders.
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and timely resolve of issues as appropriate.
- Cash management – weekly receipts and payments analysis including forecast to end of the week.
- Production of weekly management reports (bookings and deliveries) for issue to senior managers and Directors.
- Provide cover when required for Finance Admin tasks, between head office, the branch network and external bodies such as finance houses and landlords.

- Management Accounts or similar finance experience.
- Educated to a graduate level
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Desire to achieve further qualification in Accountancy
- An ability to prioritise your workload to achieve tight deadlines
- Willingness to question how things are done and to come up with suggestions on improvement
